After two-stage crushing and multi-stage screening, crude lead paste, lead slime, separator, grid lead, heavy plastics, light plastics and unclassified materials can be separated.

Lead Battery Crushing and Separation Process
Step 1: Feeding & Preliminary Crushing
Waste lead acid batteries are conveyed to the shredder, which crushes them into 50-100mm fragments (avoids electrolyte splashing with sealed design).
Step 2: Secondary Crushing & Grinding
Fragments are crushed into 5-10mm particles, ensuring full separation of lead, plastic, and separators.
Step 3: Multi-Stage Separation
Magnetic separation: Removes iron impurities (e.g., battery terminals) to improve product purity.
Air separation: Uses wind power to separate lightweight plastic/separators from heavy lead particles.
Vibrating screen: Further classifies lead particles into different sizes (for customized processing needs).
Step 4: Electrolyte Collection & Treatment
Closed pipeline system: Collects dilute sulfuric acid during crushing, avoiding volatilization or leakage.
Neutralization tank: Adjusts pH value to 6-9 (meets international discharge standards) for safe discharge or recycling as industrial water.
Step 5: Dust & Waste Gas Treatment
Bag filter: Captures 99.5% of dust generated during crushing, preventing air pollution.
Activated carbon adsorption tower: Removes harmful gases (e.g., hydrogen sulfide) to meet EU ECODESIGN and US EPA emission requirements.
Step 6: Product Collection & Packaging
Conveyors & silos: Automatically collect lead paste, lead grids, and plastic particles into separate silos.
